The Times might have its own Internet show now, but that can’t compare to the excitement of getting mentioned on a real, deliberately humorous television program.
“OMG! ‘30 Rock’ Knows The New York Times Exists!” wrote ArtsBeat this morning.
Score! Last night, a character on the show bragged that he would be profiled in the paper “as filler because of dwindling ad sales.”
“Well, like the man said, it’s just an honor to be mentioned in the same breath as Dave Coulier,” says Dave Itzkoff.
And an honor to be mocked on the same show as Comcast.
