halderman 2 Letterman Extortionist Pleads GuiltyRobert “Joe” Halderman , who tried to extort $2 million from David Letterman last fall, will be pleading guilty. He has evidently given up on his “just-selling-a-screenplay” excuse.

Halderman will serve six months in jail, plus four and a half years of probation and 1,000 hours of community service.
