David Paterson’s spokeswoman, Marissa Shorenstein–who allegedly called a domestic violence victim at the urging of the governor–has hired a lawyer, she said in an email to me just now.

“Yes, I have hired a lawyer,” Shorenstein wrote.  “Laura Brevetti, K+L Gates is the firm.”
