Because the nonprofits are hiring again! Ka-ching. According to Crain’s:

New York charities believe the worst of the economic downturn is over and are getting ready to start hiring again, according to an annual survey conducted by staffing firm Professionals for Nonprofits.

Roughly 60% of the nonprofits said they plan to hire staffers in 2010, and more than half expected salaries to increase, according to the survey.

Millions of graduating humanities majors just breathed sighs of relief.
