Chairman Barry Diller took a moment this morning during his IAC earnings call to sing the praises of the iPad, calling Apple’s new reader “delightful.”
“I haven’t met a single person who has got one and doesn’t smile every time they use it,” Diller said, according to paidContent. “This is the first time on the internet that you essentially had a touch and go payment system for micropayments … Consumers are getting used to this.”
Getting used to paying for subscriptions and apps, that is. All those iPad-induced smiles should help Mr. Diller, who posted a first quarter loss of $300,000, climb back into the black.
