It’s Free to Look: 1 Central Park South

It's a bit pricier than a night at the Plaza. But for $13 million, this three-bedroom condo means never having to worry about forgetting a toothbrush again.

It's a glamorous but lonely existence living at the Plaza Hotel; just ask Eloise. Most of the owners of the new condos, which became available a couple of years ago, don't actually live there. But with access to the hotel's concierge service at the fingertips, there will always be someone around for company.

"Live in a piece of history," the Douglas Elliman listing promises. At least in the bathrooms, with fixtures featuring the unmistakable double P and replicas of the original mosaic tiles. With a courtyard, health club, spa and restaurants, there's no reason to ever leave. But if the empty halls become unbearable, it's still right across the street from Central Park and plenty of tourists for company. —Laura Kusisto
