Online advertising is growing again!

Online sales grew 4.9 percent in the first quarter to $730.4 million, according to Bloomberg

Newspaper Association of America president John Sturm said things were "turning for the better" about the first quarter numbers, which were released today.

Advertising online for newspapers still hasn't caught up to numbers from 2008, when $804.1 million worth of ads were sold in the first quarter.

Classified advertising, which brought in $1.25 billion to start the year, is still a larger source of revenue than online advertisements.
