With its relaunch today, Bloomberg.com is billing itself as the free alternative to other business news sites.
“In the ongoing debate of free versus paid content, Bloomberg.com is today launching a newly designed site for senior business executives and content can be accessed free of charge,” the company said in a statement.
The new site, decorated with splashes of bright orange, lays out Bloomberg news stories in a simple linear format. And while readers have to pay for content from Bloomberg’s competitors like the Wall Street Journal they can get their Bloomberg news for free.
