“The Sifty Fifty,” Times restaurant critic Sam Sifton’s list of New York’s top 50 restaurants, is part of a new free iPhone app, The Scoop NYC, launched by the paper today.
The app also features other things that young, rich New Yorkers (and tourists) love, such as a list of bars from dining editor Pete Wells and a calendar of events.
The paper’s free Editor’s Choice iPad app carried an ad campaign for Chase worth $ million, according to PaidContent. The Scoop, which draws largely from existing Times content, could be fodder for similar sponsorship deals.
