Susan Kamil Named Publisher at Random House

Random House editor-in-chief Susan Kamil has been promoted to publisher of the Random House and Dial Press imprints, Random House Publishing Group publisher and president Gina Cantrello announced today.

Cantrello’s release cited Kamil’s “skill of identifying and editing literary titles that can cross over into national bestsellerdom,” including The Imperfectionists and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society.

Meanwhile, Tom Perry—who had been deputy publisher of Random House Publishing Group—will join Kamil as deputy publisher of the imprint, as well as becoming publisher of The Modern Library classics line.
