But the chain seems to be doing its best to assimilate. Friday’s is adopting local customs, attempting to master the regional dialect. A recent press release promised “seasonal specials from the Greenmarket.”
This led a distressed Grub Street to speculate that the moment had arrived “when the word ‘seasonal’ finally came to mean absolutely nothing.”
