The Tennis Center is a tricky place when it comes to hot temps. It can either be very hot, or pretty reasonable. Since there are so many courts there are plenty of areas that are covered in shade if you’re on the right side of the bleachers. And if you’re in the shade, the shade is fine. But step outside of it—or step near a tennis court—and wow, does it get hot. Pam Shriver has been on ESPN for over two hours showing off her giant thermometer that keeps reading temps boiling over 100 degrees. I believe it.
We just spent the last 90 minutes surveying the ways people were doing to beat the heat.
O.K., I might not be Bill Cunningham, but it’s a start!
