Recent Twitter-convert Buzz Bissinger would like to get one thing straight: He is not rich.

After Dan Colvert insinuated otherwise (wondering pointedly whether “becoming rich by writing about others is more noble” than being a professional athlete) Bissinger fired back:

This notion that I became rich is BS. Want to know how much I make off Friday Night Lights TV show? $13000 a year.

OK, maybe it wouldn’t buy a Joe McCoy-style McMansion, but $13,000 still sounds like it would go pretty far in Dillon.
