An ambitious volunteer was staked outside of City Hall this morning, trying to get New Yorkers emerging from the subway to sign on to Andrew Cuomo’s New New York Agenda.
Voters who sign on pledge to vote in the upcoming elections, to urge local officials to support The New New York Agenda, and “to organize and mobilize my community in November.”
The agenda includes independent redistricting, the holding of a constitutional convention, a cap on state spending, government consolidation, among other things.
According to the campaign, there are dozens of volunteers staking New Yorkers around the state, including at the RV Tour that Cuomo just completed. They have not yet tabulated how many people have signed on to the Cuomo pledge, but we will update with numbers as soon as they do.
