Joe Pompeo reports that The New York Times‘ Dealbook has grabbed private equity reporter Peter Lattman from the Wall Street Journal. The Journal reported earlier this summer that The Times would be adding staff to Dealbook, The Times finance blog named after Andrew Ross Sorkin’s column.
Mr. Lattman came to the Journal from Goldman Sachs, after a two year stop at Forbes. Before he took over the private equity beat in 2008, Mr. Lattman was the lead writer on the Journal‘s Law Blog, which has been one of the paper’s best performers in the blog space. He has over 4,000 blog posts under his belt, according to his Law Blog goodbye note.
