As if grifting some $60 million dollars from the likes of Uma Thurman and Martin Scorsese wasn’t enough, it turns out that Ponzi schemer Kenneth Starr also has massive amounts of credit card debt.
American Express has sued Starr for some $350,000 in credit card debt for unspecified charges. Last month Starr’s bail was set at $10 million, and he seemed to be having trouble scraping together the money.
Our own Max Abelson skillfully profiled Starr in June. The disgraced money manager’s arrest has spawned all kinds of legal woes, including lawsuits directed at his victims in order to recoup money for his victims.
