Reporters were taken back a bit today at a press conference—where Mike Bloomberg announced that he was endorsing Andrew Cuomo for governor—when Cuomo said that he had voted for Bloomberg for mayor.
It is worth noting that in 2009, Cuomo endorsed Bill Thompson, doing a brief walk-through with him in the Bronx. That endorsement however was fairly perfunctory, coming only a week before the election. Thompson seems to bare no-ill feelings. Perhaps considering his own 2013 mayoral prospects, he has signed on as co-chair for the Cuomo campaign.
