This improbably flat modern co-op became the building that alienated a generation into introducing landmark preservation laws, after the developers controversially demolished the Brokaw mansion. Now the exclusive 50-unit building has managed to get its revenge, standing as a remarkably well-preserved example of another architectural era.
High on the 18th floor, the unit features “classic traditional décor,” says the Stribling listing. We suppose that’s one way to describe a psychedelic rainbow of colors in every room that’s sure to keep you tripping. But if reliving your youth doesn’t always land you on the right side of the law, rest assured that you have a neighbor in Michael Sitrick, who’s re-shined the reputation of many a Hollywood starlette.
