halderman 4 0 Letterman Blackmailer Released From PrisonWhere does the time go? Robert “Joe” Halderman, the Emmy-nominated CBS producer who made headlines trying to extort David Letterman has been released after serving his sentence of four months in prison.

“He survived this, and he’s glad to be getting off the island,” said Halderman’s lawyer, Gerald Shargel, seemingly making a curious, not-so-subtle reference to the popular CBS reality show. The AP reports that Shargel then mentioned his client is looking for work.
