In this weak market, there’s something to be said for the philosophy go big or go home. The penthouse at the Park Millenium building will hit the market this weekend for $34.5 million, putting it high on the list of the most expensive units available right now.
Once upon a time, IT mogul Gideon Gartner paid a delicate $7.9 million for two of the three apartments, The New York Times reports. Since then, Mr. Gartner has bought a third unit and more than tripled the price.
“Big price tags are still a big gamble,” notes the Times, but there are 360-degree views. “I’ve never seen views like this in 20 years,” he said.
