To all you N.Y.U. students (and/or their parents) with pens poised over tuition checks, we have some news for you about where your hard-earned summer cash goes. To the tune of $10 million, New York University has found a very handsome new home for its back offices in the 1908 Silk building, The Real Deal reports.
The university went on a spending spree in January, paying $65 million for the old Forbes building and $134 million for a dormitory known as Founders Hall. N.Y.U. went into contract for the 12,851-square-foot Silk space, a commercial condo, in March 2007, and closed Sept. 1, property records show.
