		<description><![CDATA[<p>Norman Seabrook, the head of the Correction Officers Benevolent Association is slated to endorse Dan Donovan for attorney general this morning, sources have confirmed.</p>
<p>Seabrook represents a good get for the Donovan campaign. COBA was the first union to back Mike Bloomberg in 2001 and one of the few which did so in 2005, even though the group mostly backs Democrats.</p>
<p>In 2009, COBA were major supporters of Bill Thompson, and at Thompson's election night party, Seabrook castigated those who had failed to do all they could for the Democratic nominee.</p>
<p>Both Donovan and Schneiderman have been rolling out endorsements in the waning days of the campaign, but they have received little attention, since most of the major endorsers have been snapped up and the remaining few are not very surprising. This one is far from a game-changer, but still not insignificant.</p>
<p>Donovan is slated to appear on Seabrook's radio show at 11:30</p>
<p>UPDATE: A reader reminds me that Seabrook actually endorsed Schneiderman in the primary election, and sent along <a href="http://capitaltonight.com/2010/09/correction-officers-for-schneiderman/">a last minute cash infusion of $20,000</a>/</p>
