Essex County politicians this week celebrated the 90th birthday party of Dr. Francis P. (Frank) McQuade of Maplewood, Essex County Counsel from 1971-1977 and again in 1990.
McQuade taught law in 1957 at Seton Hall University Law School, where he served until 1990 and is currently Professor Emeritus. He served as the Essex County Counsel from 1971-1977 and again in 1990.
McQuade has been honored as Irishman of the Year by the County of Essex, Seton Hall Law School Irish-American Society, and the Newark St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee, as well as the Friends of Brian Boru. He received a Community Service Award from the Giblin Association in 1994.
