If our organs could talk, what would they tell us? Dutch research organisation IMEC has created a wireless body area network, or BAN, which allows a sensor attached to any number of bodily organs to send status updates to a cellphone when something’s amiss.
Cardiac patients could be warned of an elevated heart rate before things get too serious.
Of course, medical uses are just the beginning. Clearly this technology should be put to work keeping famous folks out of trouble.
