In battleground Mercer County, the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) will mobilize more than 1,000 voters this weekend in support of U.S. Rep. Rush Holt (D-Hopewell Twp)and Assemblywoman Linda Greenstein (D-Plainsboro), who is running against 14th District state Sen. Tom Goodwin (R-Hamilton).
“With a choice this clear, we are not taking Holt’s lead in the polls for granted,” said Kevin Brown, New Jersey Director of 32BJ SEIU. “Rush Holt has been one of the strongest advocates for the state’s working families in Congress, and we’re working tirelessly until the last ballot is counted to make sure he is reelected.
“Our state needs Linda Greenstein in the State Senate. She has a clear plan to create good jobs while protecting the ones we currently have,” Brown added. “Our get-out-the-vote effort for her won’t stop until she wins on Tuesday.”
Holt is running for re-election in the 12th District against Princeton Twp. venture capitalist Scott Sipprelle.
