Rent Is Too Damn High, The Album, Debuts Today

In our haste to cover the elections, The Politicker had forgotten that this is also a special day for other reasons: It marks the debut of Jimmy McMillan’s new album, called (what else) The Rent Is Too Damn High.

Cap Con is calling the video “Kafka-esque,” since McMillan plays both renter and landlord, evictor and evictee, but considering the attention McMillan has been receiving of late, we think it makes a certain amount of sense.

Either way, here’s hoping the video-release soon becomes a New York election day staple. We can’t wait to see what Assemblyman David Weprin comes up with.
