Dow Diary: Words Cannot Describe the Awesomeness

Dear Diary,

Cowabunga? Victory? Hooray? Banzai? Batter up? Abracadabra? I’m having a hard time coming up with a word to describe today, but let’s go with “awesome” for now. Today was totally Awesome. With a capital A.

I surged really steeply in the early going and never quit all day, ending with a 250 point gain. It’s like the November Pain never even happened!

Ever have one of those days where everything goes your way? Seems like nothings amiss? Well this was one of those. Early on, Automatic Data Processing said that the economy added 93,000 jobs in November. Construction spending was up. The smart guys at Goldman Sachs said they’re bullish on the economy. The Department of Labor also said productivity rose at a 2.3 percent annual rate in the third quarter. I was like a kid in the candy store. All 30 of my stocks finished higher. Bank of America bounced back from yesterday’s Wikileaks-borne evisceration.

Even AIG, an old friend of mine, had some good news. When AIG has good news, you know it’s not a rough day.
