As the big day draws near, the world awaits with bated breath the union between Prince William and his stunning, shiny-haired bride-to-be Kate Middleton. April 29, you cannot come soon enough.

Naturally, for an event as grand and important as this, it's a matter of national urgency that President Obama, leader of the free world, attend the ceremony with Michelle by his side (and not in a thrift store used dress this time, hopefully). But because neither William nor his pretty pretty princess Kate Middleton are sovereign or next in line -- yet -- the event does not have to follow the rules of a British state event, giving the guest list some fluidity. Therefore, heads of state get the axe and the Obamas probably won't make the cut.

The Daily Mail has the scoop, from "courtiers," apparently.

A senior courtier said: ‘It is certainly not the case that all foreign heads of state will be excluded. The guest list is still being drawn up and could change, but as things stand it’s right (to say Mr Obama will not be invited).

And just who will be filling the 2,00-seat Westminster Abbey?

They are more eager to ask ordinary citizens and charity workers than foreign dignitaries and VIPs to what will be the first royal ‘people’s wedding’, courtiers suggested.

A people's wedding? Kate Middleton you are way too pretty for something as gauche as that!
