Noted public intellectual Paul Delvecchio will soon have his own television program, reports the New York Post. MTV head of production and vice president of programming Chris Linn said, of Mr. Delvecchio:
“He’s distinguished himself onscreen as the fun-loving, well-coiffed and dependable guy you can’t help but want to hang out with.”
Mr. Delvecchio is the first of his Jersey Shore colleagues to option his own spin-off program. Many are surprised to see him–and not the performance art-cum-literary darling Nicole Polizzi or the striking health and sex expert Jenni Farley–as the break-out star.
Perhaps Mr. Delvecchio wanted it that way. The 29 year-old Orange American has been modest about his off-screen talents as a DJ, which earned him a nomination for American DJ of the Year.
