Big changes at the Washington Post Style Section today. Robin Givhan and Blake Gopnik are both out, according to an afternoon memo.

Blake Gopnik wrote about art and architecture. He did not like censorship. It is unknown where he's headed.

Robin Givhan is a Pultizer-winning style writer who in recent years focused on political figures like Michelle Obama, Elena Kagan, and Condoleezza Rice. The Times' Jeremy Peters says she's Beastbound & Down--as in headed to work for Tina Brown at the The Newsweek Daily Beast Company. We hope she has a lot to say about First GF Sandra Lee, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and Chancellor Cathie Black, but, let's be real, she probably just heard about our superior restaurants.

WaPo Editor Ned Martel said in a statement:

Robin Givhan and Blake Gopnik have made tremendous contributions to The Post and we wish them all the best. The Style section's strength has always been in its collection of incredible talent and we will begin a search for voices to continue the tradition of writing exemplified by writers like Robin, Blake and the rest of the Style team.
