New York City's Top Patent Holders

amex 311 New York City's Top Patent HoldersAmerican Express Travel Related Services Co. Inc. filed 100 patent applications in New York City in 2010, more than any other entity, according to IFI CLAIMS Patent Services.

JPMorgan Chase came in second place with 85 and AT&T was third with 84, Columbia University was fourth with 83, and Pfizer was fifth with 76. AT&T also filed 71 patents under AT&T Intellectual Property.

Verizon, by contrast, filed four patent applications–the same number as Bloomberg LP.
