State Workers Earning More Than Governor Cuomo

There’s a lot of them, apparently.

Empire Center:

996 state employees earned more than the Governor’s $179,000 salary, 96 more than in 2009 (1,119 state employees earned more than the Governor’s self-imposed $175,000 salary).

High state salaries, and their relationship to the governor’s salary, have been used by Cuomo to underscore his need for cutbacks, particularly in education.
