Katie Couric is stopping by Today–her old “clickety stiletto heel” stomping ground!–for an interview with Matt Lauer promoting her upcoming book, a collection of essays from luminaries on good advice they’d received. Our advice to Mr. Lauer amid the stream of weird and unexpected TV-news-and-talk reshufflings that form the real reason anyone would care about Ms. Couric’s appearance (though the book could make a good graduation gift, if you like that sort of thing)? Don’t toy with cute in-jokes about media rumors regarding an upcoming Couric-Lauer talk show! (Anyone nostalgic for old-school, Jeff Zucker-era Today will likely beg to differ.)
