Huffington Post Hires Andrei Scheinkman to Lead Interactive News Features Team

sheinkman Huffington Post Hires Andrei Scheinkman to Lead Interactive News Features TeamThe Huffington Post made another swipe at The New York Times roster today, grabbing interactive news developer Andrei Scheinkman. At The Huffington Post Mr. Scheinkman will build a small team of 3-5 developers and journalists to develop cross-disciplinary interactive features across the megablog’s verticals, working closely with chief technology officer Paul Berry and politics editor Howard Fineman, according to spokesman Mario Ruiz.

Although the HuffPo has long been known for their technological acuity, it heretofore mostly applied to gaming Google and facilitating nutty comments. Mr. Scheinkman’s arrival suggests that the innovation will now be editorial too, finding new ways to make sense of our increasingly data dump-driven news.
