Guv’s millionaire’s tax veto not instantaneous this year

TRENTON – Don’t look for a replay of last year, when Gov. Chris Christie vetoed the millionaire’s tax moments after state Senate President Steve Sweeney (D-3) of West Deptford delivered the document following a floor vote.

“We’ll have a statement later tonight,” said Maria Comella, deputy chief of communications for Christie, who plans to veto the millionaire’s tax advanced by the Democratic legislature this evening.

But there won’t be that immediate camera crowd-around, in part because the budget this year is attached to the Democrats’ budget.
