Mayor Bloomberg recently spent just over 1 percent of his estimated $18 billion fortune to buy a new mansion in the Hamptons. Known as Ballyshear, the 1910 Georgian-style mansion covers a sprawling 22,000 square feet set on 35 acres in the Shinecock Hills near Southhampton.
The Post recently reported that Hizzoner had paid $20 million for the property, and now Curbed has taken up its trusty helicopter for a closer look. You can see more pictures on their site, or check out our slideshow of the house over the years.
And this is not the mayor’s first big real estate venture, as he slowly bought up three townhouses on the Upper East Side to call home.

Reporters and numbers…that’s 1/10 of 1%. Unless of course hizzoner is only worth a paltry 1.8 billion…
