Trump Tower, 721 Fifth Ave.

Mexican entrepreneur and real estate developer Elias Sacal Cababie has sold his Trump Tower condo for $5.1 million. The 1,509-square-foot home was purchased by Yonghui Investment Limited. The two-bedroom, two-bath property was originally listed by the Trump Corporation in March of 2009 for $4.995 million, de-listed and then re-listed (again by Trump) with a price hike to $5.5 million. The Trump deal in my opinion indicates how good a climate this is for investors to get in on the luxury market. The marginal difference in price between this and the last time the condo traded hands is indicative of a broader upward trend corroborated by other instances (see stories about Hampton properties), but property values aren’t where they should be yet. I am definitely urging our clients to invest.–Manhattist
