<p>Andrew has written about art and the art market for <em>Art+Auction</em>, <em>Modern Painters</em>, and ARTINFO.com, of which he was assistant editor. In 2010 he received a  Creative Capital | Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant for 16 Miles of String, a contemporary art blog he publishes.</p>
<p>“I’m thrilled to have Andrew join the culture pages of <em>The Observer</em>,” said culture editor Sarah Douglas. “Having worked with him in the past, I can say that his deep knowledge of arts and culture, particularly visual art, and his sharp editorial skills make him a great addition to the paper.”</p>
<p>In September, his writing and photographs will appear in the Performa biennial catalogue. He earned a BA in art history and political science from Columbia University and an MS for Teachers in Childhood Education from Pace University.</p>
