On July 27, the fashion blogger and muse Tavi Gevinson is to pay tribute to hip-teen rag Sassy at a reading hosted by The Talent Show. Other readers are to include How Sassy Changed My Life authors Kara Jesella and Marisa Meltzer, who read Sassy in their youth, and “maybe Ira Glass?” according to a Tweet by Ms. Meltzer.

Ms. Gevinson, who lives full-time in suburban Illinois but visits New York frequently, is 15 (the event is for attendees 21 and older); Sassy, edited by Jane Pratt, was published between 1988 and 1994.

We look forward to particularly precocious zygotes’ tributes, in a few short years, to Ms. Pratt’s current venture, xoJane.com.
