TRENTON – Gov. Chris Christie is expected to discuss restoration of $149 million in Transitional Aid for N.J. municipalities at a press conference today.
At a press conference this morning, Christie’s first public appearance since returning over the weekend from a trip out West, Christie reportedly will discuss the idea of restoring funding vetoed from the budget last month.
Key to any discussion over Transitional Aid would be funding for oversight of the program.
Christie slashed funding for Transitional Aid from $149 million to $10 million last month and the Senate was unable to override the veto last week.
