The British sculptor Anthony James plans to buy a 1962 MiG-17, the infamous Russian fighter jet, and turn it into a piece of art, The Daily reports.
Mr. James once crashed a Ferarri Spider 355 into a tree and cooked the wreck with a blowtorch, so one imagines that he plans to do something similar here. Formerly of Varick Street, Mr. James is now based in Los Angeles and seems to be thinking bigger, accordingly.
“It’s an amazing aircraft, basically a jet engine with a cockpit and wings,” he told The Daily. It also comes with machine guns.
