    Saying he wants to cut government support for people by 30 to 35 percent isn’t pandering, it’s an ideological belief.

    Saying he only wants those 54 and under to be subject to those cuts — while paying taxes for those 55 and over to get what they themselves were unwilling to pay for — that’s pandering.
