Peter Hatch Out, Emily Arsenault In At Gillibrand's Office

Peter Hatch, Kirsten Gillibrand’s state director for the past two years, is leaving the senator’s office, The Politicker has learned.

Hatch will be replaced by Emily Arsenault, who ran Eric Schneiderman’s attorney general campaign and has served in the AG’s office since he was sworn in.

Hatch joined Gillibrand’s office soon after she was picked by Gov. David A. Paterson to serve out the rest of Hillary Clinton’s Senate term. He had previously put in stints with then-City Councilman Bill de Blasio and with the 2008 presidential campaign of John Edwards.

Arsenault is also a former Edwards staffer, helping run his New Hampshire effort in 2008. Prior to that she served as an organizer with 1199.

I wish the best for Peter Hatch.  Don’t know Emily Arsenault but to work
for U.S. Senator Gillibrand, she has to be intelligent, professional, compassion for
working families and tuff enough to watch/protect the senator. Congrats. We are Painters
