FEC: 7th Dist. Congressional candidate Choi has nearly $250k COH, Potosnak reports $100k

Two Democrats currently residing in the 7th Congressional District are serious about running for Congress, according to Federal Election Commission (FEC) 3rd Quarter fundraising totals.

Former Edison Mayor Jun Choi has raised $313,374; $309,874 in the form of individual contributions. Choi closed the quarter with $247,705 cash-on-hand.

Former 2010 challenger Ed Potosnak of North Plainfield has raised $155,739; $152,053 in the form of individual contributions, Potosnak has $100,039 cash-on-hand.

Both men have told PolitickerNJ.com they are alert to the possibility of redistricting shape-shifting them into new congressional districts post redistricting.

The 7th District is now served by U.S. Rep. Leonard Lance (R-7), who has $415,390 in the bank.
