In LD 38, massively outspent to date, Driscoll has larger warchest than Team Gordon right now

In their individual matchup for the LD 38 senate seat, Bergen County Republican Freeholder Chairman John Driscoll currently has more money than the Democratic incumbent, state Sen. Robert Gordon, (D-38), Fair Lawn, according to the Election Law Enforcement Commission.

But Driscoll was ouspent by Gordon up to Oct. 7: $1,391,084 to $123,993.

Driscoll raised $312,130 for his Senate campaign, and reports a closing balance of $188,138 in his 29-day pre-election report.

Gordon raised $487,178 for his own campaign and reports a closing balance of $55,248. The senator reported an additional $49,834 cash on hand in the joint campaign report he filed with his Assembly running mates. 

Political observers regard Gordon v. Driscoll as one of the most competitive races of the season. 

So far, LD38 represents the biggest district, according to fundraising totals ($2,245,281), according to ELEC.
