Nuns to Get a High Fashion MakeoverIn today’s breaking news about nuns (all of you probably thought we weren’t paying attention), artist Julia Sherman, fashion company JF & Son and Mother Mary Magdalene of the Sisters of the Community of Compassion in Virginia are teaming up to create a new wardrobe for the small order of Anglican sisters. This comes from one of the more unique press releases to land in our inbox today.

People get ready! It’s finally here: The High Fashion Nun.

If that bit of irony is not enough for you, you cold and heartless reader, it appears that nun fashion is gearing up to become this winter’s latest and greatest ironic trend as well. Items from the collection–including dresses, capes, hoods and underpinnings–will be available from the JF & Son web site. All you heathens out there can dress like a High Fashion Nun too!

The collection will launch with an opening reception at the JF & Son storefront at 56 University Place on Friday December 9 from 6pm to 9pm. You probably shouldn’t expect free booze, but hey, you never know.
