Grantland's Lane Brown is returning to New York, which he departed earlier this year to become culture editor at Bill Simmons' sports start-up.

He will replace culture editor Mary Kaye Schilling, who left for New York for GQ earlier this year, citing the "grueling" pace. Mr. Brown last served as editor of New York's culture blog, Vulture.

As for the TV critic job vacated by Emily Nussbaum, it has yet to be filled.
