Buzzfeed shot this pretty cool video of a bike ride the entire length of Broadway. The 13-mile ride elapses in only five minutes, but it shows a huge swath of architectural and economic diversity.
What was most striking to The Observer was what a different bike lanes make. Look at the stretches north and south of the so-called Broadway Boulevard, DOT’s redesign of the span between Columbus Circle and Union Square. No squeezing between buses and narrowly missing cabs there.

Aside from riding through Union Square instead of around it, and riding against traffic around Bowling Green, this was pretty cool. Props for stopping at all the red lights, but next time try to follow all the traffic laws.
