The People's Library Trashed [Updated]

One of the more beloved corners of Zuccotti was The People’s Library, a collection of donated books that numbered more than 5000 volumes. It met the same fate as the rest of the possessions of Zuccotti Park:

    Albert Camus wrote:  “What doesn’t kill me, strengthens me.”  Now is the opportunity for OWS to exponentially multiply into every form of civic action imagineable.  Selective boycotts of the huge corporations, banks and investment houses, the Walmarts of the world, the chain stores and retail ‘outlets’, the communcations and internet giants, the pharmaceuticals, agri-business, and every other producer of consumer products tied to the oligarchs!  Strikes of every kind can now emerge as a civic tool.  The OWS ideas are spreading like a contagion without vaccination.  OWS goes viral!!  Yes what does not kill OWS will certainly only strenghen it because you cannot hold down the people forever.  As W.C. Fields once said “You cannot cheat an honest man!”  OWS has already won the battle…now to win the war!
