Yahoo! Shut Down Four Blogs Today, Editor Reports

Yahoo! shut down four blogs today, according to Lindsay Robertson, editor of Yahoo!’s TV blog, The Set. In addition to turning off The Set, she wrote that The Amplifier (music),  The Projector (movies, edited by Will Leitch), and The Famous (celebrities) were killed.

The editorial axe falls as Yahoo!’s board contemplates a partial or total sale, entertaining bids from private equity firms Silver Lake Group and the TPG Group. Bain Capital and the Blackstone Group are reportedly considering total buyouts, according to CNN.
